Highly recommend all their amazing chocolates, but even the reject bags are out of this world!
The chocolate itself is good, but the shipping issues abounded. I live in the United States, so this may be the result of a transnational order. The shipping was about $45.00, about 3x the cost of the order .
When it arrived the ice was melted as was the chocolate. It was a mess. I saved the chocolate by putting it in the freezer, but I don’t think I can get overseas orders again from artchocolat in the current form. I was willing to take a chance on this because the mixed bag was affordable given the extraordinarily expensive shipping, but it didn’t turn out especially well.
The chocolate I had was well crafted and tasted good. I want to be clear; my issue is solely with shipping, but I attribute this to my long distance from the uk.
I originally saw the content on TikTok. I found the chef to be interesting and I liked his ideas as well as seeing how the chocolate was made. I think if there were a way to ensure it got here without melting and below $45 usd I could see myself getting this for people for Christmas. To attempt to offer constructive feedback; there’s a local chocolate company called bissingers. I can get about 1 lb of chocolate for about $30-$35. I’d be willing to maybe spend on the side of $40 total for an order including s&h even if it was smaller quantities of chocolate because I like the business model and want to support the business. If that price range was available for me as a consumer I would be willing to give the brand a chance again.
